MICCI Representatives Attend MITI Deputy Minister’s Briefing and Media Session in Penang

PENANG, June 13 – Representatives from the Malaysian Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), led by President S. Parthiban, together with Honorary Assistant Secretary R. Asok Kumar and Committee Members S. Yuvabalan and S. Siva Rao, attended the “Taklimat dan Sidang Media YB Timbalan Menteri MITI Bersama EXCO, ADUN Pulau Pinang” held at Gurney Bay Hotel.

The programme was officiated by Sim Tze Tzin, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), who shared updates on the Ministry’s latest initiatives, investment opportunities, and strategic plans aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s industrial development and economic competitiveness.
The session provided valuable insights into the Government’s efforts to attract investments, promote exports, support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and enhance the nation’s business ecosystem.

Representatives from key agencies including Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Penang, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Penang, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) and Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (CREST) presented various programmes, incentives, financing facilities and business support initiatives available to local enterprises.
The event also served as an important platform for engagement between government agencies and the business community, allowing participants to gain first-hand information on current economic developments, available assistance programmes and future policy directions.
