GEORGE TOWN, 29 Aug — Residents of Kampung Mount Erskine gathered yesterday to voice their concerns over issues affecting their homes, land and the future of their community.

The peaceful gathering, organised by the Persatuan Penduduk Kampung Mount Erskine, began at 5.30pm at the entrance to the village along Jalan Gottlieb.

Held under the theme “Selamatkan Kampung Kita – Suarakan Pandangan!”, the gathering gave residents an opportunity to come together and share their views on issues affecting their homes and land.

The organisers said the gathering was aimed at providing a platform for residents to discuss their concerns and ensure their voices were heard.

“Kampung kita, masa depan kita” was among the key messages highlighted during the gathering, with residents urged to remain united while expressing their views peacefully and respectfully.

The gathering also highlighted concerns over the future of the community amid development in the Mount Erskine area.

Residents were encouraged to stay involved in discussions and matters concerning the future of their neighbourhood.

The organisers stressed that the gathering was intended to be peaceful and constructive, allowing residents to share their concerns and aspirations.

“Bersama, kita boleh membuat perubahan” was the message carried by the organisers as residents stood together to highlight their concerns over the future of Kampung Mount Erskine.
