PH Ready for Johor Polls, Campaign to Centre on Facts

JOHOR BAHRU, June 27 — Pakatan Harapan's (PH) election machinery is fully prepared for the Johor state election (PRN), with the coalition set to run a campaign centred on facts, policies and practical solutions for voters.

Speaking after the nomination process, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail outlined PH’s readiness and campaign direction.

Saifuddin said all PH candidates completed their nomination smoothly, reflecting strong organisational discipline.

“The smooth process shows high discipline, meticulous planning and close cooperation within the Unity Government.

"These will be the foundation of our campaign,” he told reporters.

Saifuddin added that PH would focus on substantive issues affecting the rakyat instead of rhetoric, with emphasis on policy-based solutions and sustainable development.

The coalition, he said, had fielded capable and credible candidates with the integrity to earn Johoreans’ trust and form a state government that can work with Putrajaya.

“PH is offering candidates ready to shoulder the responsibility of governance and ensure Johor progresses through stronger federal-state cooperation for faster development and greater benefits,” he said.

Saifuddin also announced that PH would unveil a realistic and actionable manifesto during the 14-day campaign period, which ends at 11.59pm on July 10.

The document, he said, was based on real issues and would contain practical, high-impact initiatives.

“We are committed to policies that can be implemented and measured, not promises that are hard to fulfil. This is PH’s commitment to genuine solutions that improve lives,” he said.

With campaigning now under way, PH is expected to stress stability, effective governance and federal-state cooperation as it seeks voters’ mandate under the theme ‘Johor Forward, Vote Harapan’.

The Johor State Legislative Assembly was dissolved on June 1 following consent from the Regent of Johor.

The Election Commission fixed nomination day for June 27, early voting for July 7, and polling day for July 11.

The 14-day campaign period runs from June 27 to July 10.
