KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 —* After three years of development, filming and post-production, the historical action film Keris – Pahlawan Melayu Bersejarah is finally set to reach Malaysian cinemas on July 2.

Director and filmmaker Viknes Perrabu described the journey as one marked by hard work, dedication, sacrifice and countless sleepless nights in bringing the ambitious project to life.

In an official statement, Perrabu expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the production, saying the film would not have been possible without the collective efforts of the people behind it.

“Three years of hard work, dedication, effort, sleepless nights and sacrifices have gone into creating this film. Every achievement is the result of the commitment and passion shown by the entire team,” he said.

The director also thanked God, his mentors and production partners, including Mathe's Production House, Tabitha Offshore Marine and M R Cinematic Creations, for their continued support throughout the filmmaking process.

He extended his appreciation to the cast, crew members, family, friends and fans who stood by the project from its early stages until its completion.

With the film now ready for release, Perrabu said he was proud to present Keris – Pahlawan Melayu Bersejarah to Malaysian audiences.

The film, which highlights themes of Malay history, heroism and cultural heritage, will begin screening at selected cinemas nationwide from tomorrow.

“We need all your love, support and blessings. We believe this film will be worth your money and we hope audiences will enjoy the experience we have worked so hard to create,” he said.

Perrabu concluded by once again thanking everyone who had placed their trust in the project and helped make its release possible.
